Shoshone Falls, sometimes called "Niagara of the West," is just northeast of the town of Twin Falls on the Snake River.
The City of Twin Falls owns and operates a park overlooking the waterfall with grassy picnic areas and viewing platforms.
The falls are located within the Snake River Canyon that displays many colorful and fanciful rock formations.
It is only a few minutes off highway 84 and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
